I was reading a WordPress blog when this happened. I thought I’d been struck by a mysterious illness – word blindness or creeping encryption. I used my mouse, clicking feverishly, frantically, and the screen flicked back to readable characters again. A few moments later and the gobbledegook was back. For a while I imagined that my screen was infected and this was all I was ever going to be able to see again. It’s a horrible feeling.
I had the presence of mind to capture the phenomenon as a screen dump. The evidence is there for all to see.
Anyone know what causes this, and why it happens? Perhaps the Martians are here and they’re using my computer to communicate among themselves.
