One of my favorite authors, Wright Forbucks, has published an amazing new novella. Wright specializes in dark humor and he does an amazing job. I have read and loved all of his books, but this, his latest one, is a winner. The story revolves around Jason, a young man in love. The object of his affections is a beautiful woman with a rare blood disorder. She needs a bone marrow transplant, but the chances of finding a genetic match are a billion to one. As ‘luck’ would have it Jason is that one in a billion… The story features a cast of hilarious characters, from Jason’s parents to the savant detective Alan Lawson, and Lawson’s hard-bitten boss. Wright tells me that he plans some follow-up novels featuring this detective and his strange parrot. I can’t wait!
